Nero's Fiddle is a quartet that has taken decades to build. The band began with Carl and Tina Wagoner developing innovative and solid musicianship on their Mountain Dulcimers. Next, they added their longtime friend, Travis-picking virtuoso, guitarist Dean Phelps. Then along came everybody's favorite bodhrán and spoon player, Barry Miller. The result of this fateful alignment of stars and planets is an ensemble with well over 150 years of playing experience. What exactly do they play? What kind of music do they render? Well, they call it "Appalachicana." It's a hybrid of Old Time fiddle tunes, Scotch-Irish reels, hornpipes, and jigs;  Part Bluegrass, part Bach, a little Stephen Foster, and a touch of Cajun. They also include a smattering of Gospel. They have pleased crowds throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky and beyond. It may seem confusing, right?
